The Passionista started in 2016 as a way to support a local pregnancy center and missionaries in Costa Rica through soap. The idea was simple. Make a high quality, sustainable, clean product. The Passionista is a socially responsible, sustainable bath and body product company. We aim create minimal waste. Through this we have also been able to produce vegan friendly, for sensitive skin, and fair-trade products. And the line keeps growing! Since, we have added lotions, lip balms, shampoo, deodorant, candles, and more.

A portion of all proceeds earned through the Passionista Project go towards teaching women a job skill of soap making, as a means to rise above their current situations of sex trafficking, poverty, and more. Throughout their training, the ladies learn how to operate a business through marketing, savings, investing back into the business, and profit. Upon the completion of their program, each lady receives their savings and the materials necessary for their trade in order to launch their own operation from home.

In 2019 we did a lot! We partnered with Abba Café- a high quality, locally grown and roasted coffee company here in Costa Rica. We have two special bends of coffee: Caracorillo and Natural.

Two thousand nineteen was also the year that Waves of Grace bracelets was founded. Our mission with this part of the company is to empower women to use their creativity to earn an income. We started with two ladies who were willing to start this experiment of an idea. We practiced many different bracelet styles together, messed up too many times to remember, and then brightly showed off our successes to each other. Each bracelet is handmade with love over conversations and coffee. Today we have established a line of SEVEN different bracelet stacks and two individual styles.
